This is the women’s first season back after disbanding for a number of years and to win the league in the fashion they have UNBEATEN and 8 points clear is a massive statement for next season.

A huge thankyou to the management team Claire and Rich, and the supporters that have been a part of this incredible achievement.

Captain Charlie Pogson says “I cannot wait to see where this journey continues to take us!” On an emotional game to lift the trophy on her mother’s heavenly birthday
“My mum wasn’t big into football at all and only managed to see one of my football games BUT that one game back in 2013, she saw our Kirkstall Girls lift the County Cup, so to raise our next piece of silverware since then, with many of the same girls by my side, on her birthday felt like it was meant to be”.

Also, a big thank you to Kirkstall Crusaders FC chairman Phil Pogson who was instrumental in getting the band back together and organising the medals and trophy for the women to celebrate this emphatic achievement.
